Angel Beats Opening:
AngelBeats is a really good anime. It just came out last year April 3,2010. When I first came across this anime, I was like wow. Its funny, sad, bloody, and mysterious.
As it starts out, A boy name Yuzuru Otonashi (main character). He doesn't remember how got to a high school or put him there.
He ran into a female name Yuri Nakamura or aka Yurippe.
She was explaing to him how everyone is dead, and they were up against a female name Angel (Kanade Tachibana). Yurippe believe that if they pass on they would become an incarnation of something they don't like, like a barnacle lol. And so Otonashi doesn't believes it and went up to Angel and ask is he really dead. Angel actually stabs him in the chest, something huh. And it gets more interesting.
Here is the whole crew :3 I can tell you a little about each and one of them.
Yuzuru Otonashi
Of course he's the one who lost his memories. He didn't completely understand what was going on and why was he dead. Later on in the anime, he found out the cause of his death.
Yuri Nakamura
Or as everyone called her, Yurippe. She is the leader of SSS, an organization that is fought against God. She is very skilled in hand guns and hand-to-hand combat. She wanted Otonashi to join SSS to prevent themselves from moving on. Although her history was very sad, she still fights till the very end.
Kanade Tachibana
Or as everyone calls her, Angel. The SSS initially calls her Angel since they didn't know her name, but they still refer to her by it even after finding out her real name to be Kanade Tachibana. Angel is the student council president at the after life school. It is difficult to understand what she is thinking due to her rarely showing any outward emotions and her way of talking bluntly.
She is incredibly powerful and near indestructible to the point of ejecting bullets out of her wounds during battles. She creates her powers through a program called Angel Player. She is personally dedicated to helping others to overcome their regrets and pass on.
Hideki Hinata
Hinata is a bright, dependable boy who is the closest to Otonashi. He always tries to save his friends if he can and is a reliable force in the team. He and Yui constantly irritate one another on a daily basis, but deep down, he cares for Yui, as shown when he helps her pass onby telling her he would marry her no matter what she looks like from before. He's a talented baseball player.
Takamatsu
Takamatsu is an honor student who is very polite and wears glasses (obviously). He contributes to the SSS by using his intelligence, but he doesn't fight. Though appear to be slender, he works out and is actually well-built muscle wise. After he reveal that he was well-built, he continues to leave his shirt off, and everyone is uncomfortable about it.
Noda
Noda is a self-reliant boy who follows through the strategies formed by SSS and fights with a halberd. He doesn't like to listen to anyone but Yuri, for whom he admires. He got this rivalry thing with Otonashi. He's not afraid to harm or kill anyone who gets in Yuri's way.
Shiina
Shiina is a ninja who fights with dual-wielding kodachi and shuriken. She is able to sense when danger is coming and is a highly capable fighter. Despite her seriousness, she has a weakness for cute things. She is strict in her training and very self-critical when she fails.
Yusa
Yusa is an operator in the SSS who conveys the state of the battlefield to Yuri. She is calm and gentle mannered girl with a straightforward character. She don't usually show her emotions. She cannot calm down without her earphones. She rarely talks, and sometimes hurt people feelings even thought she doesn't mean it.
Fujimaki
Fujimaki is bad whi fights with a long shirasaya. He picks on new people, but does not seem like a bad person himself. Plus he can't swim lol.
TK
Ah, TK. He's my favorite chararcter. He's a mysterious character who tends to break out in a dance every so often. No one knows his real name or his past, though he doesn't speak English fluently. He saves his team plenty of times and know some Japanese. He can understand what everyone is saying.
Matsushita
Matsushita is build and is a master at judo. He never forgets a debt he owes, especially when it involves food. He later loses weight after training in the mountains.
Oyama
The cute :3. Oyama is an ordinary boy who has no special talents. He's a boy whose feelings will get hurt from things like a making confession or watching his teammates die. By the way, no one can die again since they are already dead.
Cha
Cha is the leader of the Guild. Despite how old he looks, he's the same age as everyone else. He first met Yuri and Hinata by holding the principal of the school hostage in an attempt to learn more about God, causing him to get stabbed by Kanade.
Ayato Naoi
Ayato Naoi, or calls himself God, is a human originally thought to be a non-playerable character. After he died, he developed hypnotic powers that allow him to control others and cause them to enter a dreamlike state. He later became friends with Otonashi after meeting him and joins the SSS. Naoi is strict and arrogant, but quick to change when Otonashi gets on him. He is affectionate to Otonashi and always tries to earn his affection.

Masami Iwasawa
Iwasawa is the leader of Girls Dead Monster who is in charge of the vocals and rhythm guitarist. She is able to fascinate listeners by striving to create music that speaks her thoughts.
Hisako
Hisako is second-in-command of Girls Dead Monster who plays a Fender Jazz-master electric guitar as lead guitarist. She like to play mahjong. She is athletic and is greatly admired by Yui.
Miyuki Irie
Irie is the drummer of Girl Dead Monster who is bad with listening to ghost stories. She is best friends with Sekine and joined the band the same time she did.
Shiori Sekine
Sekine plays a bass guitar in Girls Dead Monster. She likes to prank on those around her to see the surprise faces of her victims.
Yui
Yui, my favorite, is a big fan of Girls Dead Monster and an assistant to the band. She is hyperactive and talks extremely fast. Hinata finds her a bit of annoying, thought but they really care about each other. After Iwasawa's departure, Yui becomes the new rhythm guitarist and vocalist for Girls Dead Monster as well as the leader. Later she joins SSS to follow them along with missions.
That's basically all the members in SSS :3 When I watched Angel Beats, I cried. Yes, I cried. If you going to watch it, I would prefer you to read the manga first. Of course you will get the full understanding Angel Beats.
